Less than four decades later, another generation of intellectuals during the 1940s and 1950s played an irreplaceable role in the social mobilization against the Pahlavi government with an intellectual turn from Westernism to traditionalism. The aim of the present study is to analyze the reason for the intellectual turn of Iranian intellectuals from Westernism to traditionalism in the middle of two revolutions. Therefore, in response to the reason for the intellectual turn of Iranian intellectuals, this hypothesis is investigated that the intellectuals of the 1290s in response to the constitutional failure and the intellectuals of the 1340s in response to the absolute modernism of the West chose two different approaches, Westernism and traditionalism. In this research, the hypothesis has been proved by taking advantage of the inherent characteristic of intellectuals and explaining their origin in the middle of two revolutions. The current research is of the "descriptive-analytical research" type in terms of implementation method and it has used library studies to collect information and data. پس از انقلاب مشروطه و ناکامی در ایجاد دولت مرکزی قدرتمند، روشنفکران ایرانی از دهه 1290 شمسی به بعد با ارائه ایده‌های جدید و تاکید بر مدرنیسم مطلقه از ظهور رضاخان حمایت کردند. کمتر از چهار دهه بعد نسلی دیگر از روشنفکران طی دهه 40 و 50 شمسی با چرخشی فکری از غربگرایی به سنت‌گرایی در بسیج اجتماعی علیه حکومت پهلوی نقشی بی‌بدیل داشتند. هدف پژوهش حاضر واکاوی چرایی چرخش فکری روشنفکران ایرانی از غرب گرایی به سنت گرایی در میانه دو انقلاب است. بنابراین در پاسخ به چرایی چرخش فکری روشنفکران ایرانی، این فرضیه مورد بررسی قرار می‌گیرد که روشنفکران دهه 1290 شمسی در واکنش به ناکامی مشروطه و روشنفکران دهه 1340 شمسی در واکنش به مدرنیسم مطلقه غرب دو رویکرد متفاوت غربگرایی و سنت‌گرایی را انتخاب کردند. در این پژوهش با بهره‌گیری از ویژگی ذاتی روشنفکری و بیان خاستگاه آن‌ها در میانه دو انقلاب به اثبات فرضیه پرداخته شده است. پژوهش حاضر از لحاظ روش اجرا از نوع «تحقیقات توصیفی – تحلیلی» است و در جمع آوری اطلاعات و داده‌ها از طریق مطالعات کتابخانه‌ای استفاده کرده است. https://www.rahyaftjournal.ir/article_174013_37685966e0369d2fe4da555420c2e929.pdf
