Abstract
The convergenceanddivergence of tribal andnational identity inIranian society has anold backgroundFrom this perspective,the identity ofLorethnicity as one of the noblest Iranian ethnicities has many convergent elements incommon with Iraniannational idenity.Although the historical evidences showthatthe role of convergent elements among the elements of national identityof Lor ethnicity as well asthe national identity is striking. However, the development of communications despite the actthat causes thereproduction of national identity ideologies by the governments, but on the other hand,cause theemergence of ethnic identities which is regarded in type achallenge for the national identityThus,the interaction and opposition of national and ethnic identit is one of the obvious characteristicsof thecontemporary era. For this purpose, the present article tries to investigate theroleof divergent and convergent elements among the Lor ethnicityand thenational identity.Accordingly,theresearch questionof the present article is so;what are the mostimportant signsof divergenceand convergence of identity ofLor ethnicity and Iranian national identity? What are the scientific solutions fortheconvergence of the identity of or ethnicity and national identity? Our hypothesis is that the historical recordsand traditions,ethic-national commonalities as well as lingualaffinities of the identity of Lor ethnicity andnational identitycan setthe context for convergence. The method of writing the presentarticle is descriptive-analytical andof thequalitativetype thatthe data arecollectedas libraryand documentation
